Soda Diet

Soda Diet has yet to really begin. Or end. Confused? Yeah we know. The direction is different each time they play out. But Soda Diet has been droppin' hits for all you shortys at Chorizo-sponsored-hip-hop-bling-and-cheese-events for years now. The band begun in 2004 by APE saw early efforts directed more towards long compositions with scattered voices presented. As evidenced by the track "The Black Blanket" appearing on Chorizo Approved's 2004 compilation "This is Bullshit" and the split 7" with Gil San Marcos on Toobsox Records. WOLF soon joined, and was soon jettisoned. The addition of LION soon found the band hitting stride. Then came hurricane Katrina. LION out... WOLF back... but something was missing. That something, was CHICKEN. Shows solidified, and APE and LION even found time to record. A grass-roots CD-R release compiling some the band's sounds from live performances, as well as hits from the swamps of Louisiana surfaced in 2007. Soda Diet rarely plays, but when they do, it's always the latest watershed moment of the industrial swamp pop scene.
